PGP is a beautifully designed world class institution located in Namakkal away from noise and pollution. Spread out in an area of 450 acres, abutting National Highway NH - 7, the college is well connected by buses from the neighboring towns of Salem, Karur, Tiruchengode, Coimbatore just to name a few. Thiruchirapalli is about 2 hours away, while a bus ride to Salem takes a little over an hour. College buses operate in required adequacy to connect to the neighbouring areas.

PGP College has an excellent infrastructure located in a serene and green environment. The labs and workshops are state-of-the-art. Faculties are well qualified and dedicated to complement these features. In addition to class room teaching with modern educational aids, students have an advantage of value added courses and personality development programmes.

The college has signed a Memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the University of West Bohemia (UWB) Czech Republic. The MoU provides lecturing by a faculty member of UWB at PGP in the subjects of common interest. It also includes deputation of a selected group of students to UWB for a period of 6 - 8 weeks. This may be extended to one semester potentially leading to the award of a certificate of proficiency in the chosen area. We are also working on drawing up an MoU with a few other universities in Germany and USA.

PGP offers merit scholarships to deserving students. Besides the SC / ST / MBC scholarships, a student who secures a minimum of 85% marks and stands first or second in his / her branch is awarded this scholarship. Discipline is the order of the day and the college adheres to this very strictly. Attendance levels generally range between 95% - 100%

It is mandatory for every student to be a part of at least one student body like Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics Engineers, Indian society of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) (USA), Computer society of India (CSI), Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE). Students are offered ample opportunities for participation in NSS, Youth Red Cross Society activities, etc.

A bank extension center, ATM and a self-sufficient shopping centre is available inside the campus. Facilities are available to make long distance calls, photocopying and fax services. There is a system of visiting doctors, who are also available on call round the clock, 7 days a week. 24 hours ambulance facility is available for emergency use.

The library hosts numerous volumes of text books and reference book on various fields of study. Our “Dr. Ranganathan Library” has been set up with centralized air condition and has state-of the-art standards. The library has nearly 50,000 books, 500 e-journals (DELNET and IEEE), 200 National / International journals and magazines. The campus is proud of its lab facilities offered for all levels and divisions of education, falling under its umbrella. All labs are air-conditioned and have access to the most modern equipments.

Training and placement are the most important activities from the management’s stand point. Our own sugar factories, hospitality industry, tour and travel, offer immense training and employment opportunities to our students. In addition to the above, close tie-ups with other organisations provide an added advantage to our students. The college assist the students in arranging for “in-plant” industrial training. The training and placement cell is committed to finding the optimal student placement.

A well catered canteen to meet the needs of all students is maintained in a neat and hygienic manner. The canteen is large enough to accommodate most of the students at any time. We also provide seperate menu for the students from all over India. A fleet of college buses provide transportation to students commuting daily from neighbouring towns and nearby places as per the students requirement

PGP College provides the most modern hostel for boys and girls with Wi-Fi and other facilities creating an environment to feel at home. Single, Double and Triple bed rooms to accommodate nearly 1000 boys and 600 girls. Spacious dining, common room, telephone facilities, computer labs etc., in each hostel offer most congenial environment making the stay comfortable. Well laid out sports fields for cricket, foot ball, volley ball, basket ball, kabaddi, khokho and gymnastics help students unwind.

The founder Dr. Palani G Periasamy has instituted a number of Endowments and Scholarships in memory of his parents. Many deserving students are given financial support to complete their studies.
